A Postal History of Egypt under the Muhammad Ali Dynasty - 1805 to 1957
with Sami Fereig

The Muhammad Ali Dynasty in Egypt extended from 1803 to 1957. It began after the French Expedition into Egypt ended in 1803, when Egypt came under Ottoman Rule.  Muhammad Ali was appointed ruler of Egypt by the Ottomans, and it remained under Ottoman rule until WWI, when it became a British Protectorate. Egypt then became a Kingdom in 1923 and remained so until 1952 when the Monarchy was ended by a Military Coup.

A four-volume set of books tie the history of Egypt with the different postal issues throughout this period of Egyptian history.  The first edition (three volumes) won a large vermeil at the China International Exhibition in 2019, and the second edition (four volumes) has just been awarded a large vermeil at the Stampex International Exhibition in London, UK in Feb. 2022.
